The Sierra Ramblers Chapter was formed in April 1991. Our Chapter is open to anyone who is a member of Family RV Association (FRVA - Formally known as FMCA) and owns at least 1/3 of an FRVA approved self-contained RV. You do not have to own any certain brand of self-contained RV, just as long as it is considered a self-contained unit. We have new, old, big, and small units.
What does our Club do?
We meet every other month, February, April (Chapter Anniversary), June, August, October and December. We enjoy socializing, taking tours, playing games, doing crafts and just having fun. We do volunteer each year at the Western RV Association (WRVA) Jamboree now in Tulare. Most of our members are from Northern California (Sacramento, Bay Area, Central Valley, Foothills) as well as other area regions throughout the Western Area.
About Us
Our dues are $15.00 a year. When you apply for membership, there is a fee of $30.00 for a single and $45.00 for a couple. This fee includes the first-year dues, your badges and also patches that can be put on a Chapter jacket or a hat, etc. We have a Newsletter, “The Sierra Messenger” which is published bi-monthly. In our Newsletter you can read about what happened at the last rally, and also see the schedule for upcoming rallies. Sometimes the rallies start on a Wednesday or Thursday, ending on Sunday morning. Other times a rally may start on a Monday and end on Friday. Some of our rallies are held at fairgrounds, but many take place at a private campground.
If you would like to attend a rally just to see what we are like, you are more than welcome to come see if we are a group you would like to be a part of. You do not have to join to come to a rally to "Check Us Out".
